Dr. Kamakoti is a Professor at Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Madras. His areas of interests include Computer Architecture, Secure Systems Engineering and VLSI Design. He completed BE in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Madras followed by MS (By research) and PhD at Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras. Prior to joining his alma mater as a faculty, he completed two post doctoral assignments at Supercomputer Education and Research Center, Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru and Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai.

Prof. G. K. Suraishkumar is a Professor in the Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM). He has been at IITM as a Professor since May 2004, and was earlier a faculty member in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) from April 1993 until mid-May 2004. He was also an Associate Faculty member in the erstwhile Centre for Biotechnology, which is now the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, at IITB, between 1995 and 2004. He earned his Ph.D. from Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA in 1993, and his B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IITM in 1986. He also did his Masters work at the University of Cincinnati, USA, between 1986 and 1988.

Prof. S.Aniruddhan is an assistant professor in the Integrated Circuits and Systems group of the department of Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He works broadly in the area of Analog IC design, with specific focus on RFIC design. He obtained a B. Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras in 2000, and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Washington, Seattle in 2006. Between 2006 and 2011, he worked in the RF-Analog group at Qualcomm Inc., San Diego, designing integrated circuits for Cellular RF applications.

Dr. Manu Santhanam is a Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Madras. His research interests are in multi-scale characterization of concrete, supplementary cementing materials, durability and non-destructive evaluation.

Prof. Ravindra Gettu is a chair professor of civil engineering at IIT Madras. He has coordinated the introductory course at IITM and given lectures at other institutes on civil engineering for more than 10 years. He has a B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Madras, and a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. Before he joined as a faculty at IIT Madras, he served as a Senior Scientist at Plug Power, a Fuel Cell company in New York. What is Aerospace Engineering?

Prof. S.R.Chakravarthy is a Professor of Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, India. Professor Satyanarayan R. Chakravarthy received his Bachelor of Technology in Aerospace Engineering in 1991 from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, Chennai, India. He then went on to receive his Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia, USA in 1992 and 1995 respectively. He served as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Georgia Tech during 1996-97 and as Visiting Faculty at the Department of Aerospace Engineering at IIT Madras during 1997-98, before permanently joining the latter department in 1998 as Assistant Professor. He is a Professor there since 2009. Professor Chakravarthy’s interests lie in the field of energy and combustion, covering aspects of solid propellants, combustion dynamics, laser diagnostics and spray characterization. Prof. Satya Chakravarthy is coordinating the National Centre for Combustion Research and Development (NCCRD) established by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, since 2011, and also the Centre of Propulsion Technologies being established with the support of the Defense Research and Development Organization, Government of India. About the Topic: Aerospace engineering is exploding with the advent of drones for a myriad applications, air taxis, rocket startups, private launchers, Mars missions, etc. The era of big aerospace being the preserve of governments and a few large companies is over. Prof. Bhas Bapat is a Professor in the Physics Department, and Dean (Academics) at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune. I was earlier a faculty member at Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad. I worked as a Post-doctoral fellow at the University of Freiburg in Germany. I did my PhD in Physics from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, and MSc from IIT Bombay in 1992. My area of research is atomic and molecular physics; mostly experimental. Besides research in physics, I am interested in school education and work with different groups and organisations engaged in improving school education, I conduct teacher trainings, workshops and create learning materials.

Prof. Dube Sourabh is a Associate Professor in the Physics Department, and Associate Dean (International Relations and Outreach) at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune. I am an experimental particle physicist, I have been faculty at IISER since 2013. Before that I was a Chamberlain Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the US. I finished my PhD from Rutgers University in the US in 2008.
